The Secret Thought Lives of Men and Women

Ladies: Have you ever been totally confused by something the man in your life has said or done? Do you want to understand his secret desires and fears, his daily battles that you know nothing about? Gentlemen: Is the woman in your life complicated and impossible to understand? Do you love and want to please her, but just can’t seem to figure her out? Shaunti Feldhahn, author of For Women Only and For Men Only, is here today to discuss the inner workings and secret thought lives of men and women. Shaunti has an incredible story and God is using her in incredible ways. Listen today and be enlightened as she explains how best to show love to those we love most!

Shaunti Feldhahn began her career as an analyst on Wall Street and today is a bestselling author, speaker, and nationally-syndicated newspaper columnist. Her recent bestsellers have sold 2 million copies in 18 different languages. The books in her popular “Only” series, including For Women Only: What You Need to Know About the Inner Lives of Men, and For Men Only: A Straightforward Guide to the Inner Lives of Women, For Parents Only and For Young Women Only (bothof which were co-authored with youth speaker Lisa Rice), and For Young Men Only (coauthored with husband Jeff Feldhahn and Eric Rice, husband to Lisa Rice) have led togreat life-change—and plenty of fascinating conversation—for men, women, parents andteens around the country. She has also authored two true-to-life spiritual thrillers.

After launching her latest book, The Male Factor: The Unwritten Rules, Misperceptions and Secret Beliefs of Men in the Workplace, on The Today Show in January 2010, Shaunti is now speaking to corporate groups about her surprising findings. This knowledge has proven to be of great interest to talented, high-potential women in the workplace as well as to men who want to cultivate positive working relationships. Just as if they were doing business in a foreign culture, women find knowledge of the “internal” male culture immediately valuable in overcoming obstacles they may not have been aware of before, and having the greatest possible effectiveness and influence with male bosses, colleagues, subordinates or clients.

One reason Shaunti’s books, talks and columns have hit such a nerve is that she applies her background as an analyst in a whole new way. She holds a master’s in public policy from Harvard University, and a bachelor’s in government and economics from The College of William & Mary. Prior to becoming an author, she worked in the financial arena on Capitol Hill and later on Wall Street, analyzing the Japanese financial crisis for the highest level decision makers of the Federal Reserve System. She now applies that same skill set to investigating eye-opening truths that many of us tend to miss. (For example, what women don’t ‘get’ about men!)

As a popular national speaker and broadcaster, Shaunti travels extensively and has shared her findings with millions of people through conferences, television, and radio. She has appeared on such diverse media outlets as Fox News, PBS, TNT, Soap Talk, The Alan Colmes Show, Focus on the Family, and FamilyLife Today. Her weekly opinion columns are printed in newspapers around the country, including the Chicago Sun-Times.

Shaunti and her husband Jeff, with whom she coauthored For Men Only, are active leaders in their Atlanta-area church and, as parents of young children, enjoy every minute of living at warp speed. They have become quite good at juggling T-ball games, ballet lessons, Jeff’s business (software company World2one), and family speaking trips with the whole traveling circus in tow. As their favorite shirts put it, “Life is good.”

An Urgent Call to Defend our Religious Liberty

Your Religious Liberty is in jeopardy! The current administration is going to extreme measures to take away the values that we, as Christians, hold dear. In light of the attack at hand, we are switching up today’s Grounded program. Instead of Feed & Stream, you will hear Dr. Dobson and Chuck Colson get fired up over the issues of infringement of religious liberties and legislation being pushed by the Obama administration. This is a call to action people. There is a war at hand and it is time for us to stop sitting on the sidelines and get involved in the fight. Listen. Be inspired. Get involved!
