I have wanted to send Dr. Dobson a thank you note for a very long time. I am finally taking the time. My very long story, made short, is that I am an ex-gang member from a large San Diego barrio - Logan Heights. My live has been spared. I was rescued with the birth of my daughter. Well really, Jesus drew me to Himself after her birth and on Dec 9, 2001 - I fully gave my life to Him. Now I life to serve Him alone. I am redeemed – hallelujah!!! Today I work for Turning Point with Dr. David Jeremiah, in operations behind the scenes, and my daughter is at a Christian school. Hah, who would’ve thought?! The Lord is using my story in groups of women (bible studies and retreats) as I share about the faithfulness of our Lord and how He is might to save - even those that seem to be beyond all help! God is amazing! I want to thank you, with all my heart. Today I am the mother, friend, employee, daughter and sister that I because of you and Focus on the family - when you were with them on the air. Honestly, I miss you and it isn’t the same without you! You ( and FOTF) were like the father and mother I always wished I'd have. Your resources kept me going. Through the printable resources and your books (I am currently reading Bringing up girls), I’ve taught myself how to love and encourage my daughter and today, when I am in need of advice, I come to you and your ministry. It never fails to bless me and for everything you do and have done, I thank you and send my love!
