Imagine being born without functioning legs and a severely deformed hand, and eventually having your legs amputated. Dr. Dobson sits down with one courageous woman who has overcome great trials in her life to find total contentment and satisfaction within the arms of her Heavenly Father. Despite the physical obstacles and the related emotional trauma, Judy Squier found healing and hope knowing that she was a child of God. Through is all, she discovered the truth that God had a purpose and plan for her life.
Judy Squier has learned firsthand about God’s Power showing up in human weakness. A Psalm of David (139) declares that God is there when we are formed in our mother’s womb. He is with us before we are even born. Judy has to believe that being born without complete legs was not a fetal fluke, but His holy design. Filling her mind and heart with promises from the Bible has been the key to living life to the fullest.
Judy began her public speaking career when she was thirteen with the talk “Learning to Walk with Artificial Limbs.” This evolved into “Learning to Walk with Jesus Christ.” Hundreds of speeches later, her messages model authentic hope as she recaps tales of a daily life in relationship with a down-to-earth God. A God of abundance. A God of surprises. A God who wants us to dream big.
She married her college sweetheart, David Squier, the same month she received her Masters Degree in Speech, enjoying ten years as a speech pathologist before becoming a full-time mother to Emily, Elizabeth and Naphtalie. The children are grown and now come the grandchildren and a blessed life of writing and public speaking with so many stories to tell of God’s faithfulness!
