Hi, This is a message for Dr. Dobson! I just finished Bringing Up Girls (we have four girls ages 6, 5, 4 and 4 - identical twins!!!! something tells me I'll be rereading this book several times in the next few years!). I LOVED it. I loved it so much that I passed it along to a friend of mine. She has no children yet and works full time as a Senior Manager for the Washington DC CASA (Court Appointed Social Advocates) office. She emailed me this from court today: Holly, Bringing Up Girls is rocking my child welfare world... Reading it at court (waiting for hearings, etc.) is really ridiculous - like have a little microcosm of all he is discussing right in front of me. Just yesterday, I - saw a 15-16 year old (looking) girl very tenderly rocking her infant child while wearing spandex pants and a super-low cut top (maternal? oversexualized?), saw at least 2 dozen other women and girls (of varying ages) in the same get-up (FOR COURT!), heard a female attorney cursing like a sailor in her "negotiations" with 2 other male attorneys, was patted down at security on my way into court, and heard a grown man (father of a child in court?) very casually call a judge's law clerk "Baby" when she addressed him in court (perhaps because her attire was "less than professional..."). Crazy. Thanks for loaning :) Liza I thought you'd like to see that. Your book is reaching farther than just the 'parenting' world! Thank you and God Bless... Holly
