How much do you know about your Bible? Do you ever question its reliability? The Bible is a remarkable collection of books and letters. It was written in three languages by more than forty authors over a period of 1,500 years. It is the best selling book of all time and a holy book to Christians, Jews, and Muslims. Larry Stone is an expert on the history of the Bible and he is here today to share his wisdom and knowledge about its writing, translation, and effect on civilization. In this in depth interview we discuss the inerrancy of the Bible, the accuracy of the Bible's manuscripts, the difference between translations, the story of the King James Bible, and much more. It is a fascinating interview that you will not want to miss!
Larry Stone is a book publisher, author, former missionary, and grandfather. Larry built the successful book division of Thomas Nelson Publishers and then co-founded the energetic and creative Rutledge Hill Press, best known for having published Life's Little Instruction Book - the only book to be #1 on the New York Times bestseller list in hardcover and paperback at the same time. Larry is also the author of The Story of the Bible, which was named one of the ten best Christian books of 2010 by Assist News Service and was a finalist for the 2011 ECPA Christian Book Award program, and Good Tidings of Great Joy, which was published in England. He and his wife, Lois, were missionaries in Zambia for two years. They have nine grandchildren and have adopted another 11. They live in Nashville, Tennessee, and Kattskill Bay, New York. He is currently developing ebooks and exploring the use of ereaders in a pastor training program in Africa with the goal of multiplying the number of biblically sound and culturally relevant books available to third-world pastors.
