The "routine panic" of an overly busy life can cause you to miss important warning signs in your family.
First off, I would just like to say thank you, Dr. Dobson, for your ministry. I am a young mother, (24yo) and I have 3 children, ages 4, 2 and 11 months. I love to run, it's my "me time." I don't listen to music, i get too bored, so for the past 4 years or so I have been listening to Focus on the Family and recently I found Family Talk. It has been so motivating for me. It has helped me with my relationship with God and also my relationship with my husband and children. I have read the Strong Willed Child and Parenting isn't for cowards, both have helped with raising my rambunctious children. Secondly, I was hoping you could pass on a thank you to your wonderful wife Shirley. I know that she is very involved in the national day of prayer. I have always recognized the National Day of Prayer and I have participated in some of the activities. It never really meant as much to me as it did this year. My husband just deployed for a year this week. He was suppose to leave on Wednesday, May 2, 1012, but it got pushed back a day to Thursday May 3, 2012 - the National Day of Prayer. It was obviously a difficult day for our family, but it was such a comfort to both of us that millions of people from around the country were praying for our country and our soldiers. I really think it was a gift from God that it got pushed back a day. My husbands itinerary said they were leaving on Wednesday for weeks and then at the last second it was changed to Thursday. So thank you Shirley for all your efforts with the National Day of Prayer. Thank You for letting God use you to make an impact on our family.
