UPDATE ON WALDO CANYON FIRE
Monday, July 2, 2012
As of Monday, July 2nd, nearly all of the mandatory evacuations have been lifted in Colorado Springs. While the fire still burns, it has moved farther away from the city and is currently 55% contained. Cooler, cloudier weather, along with some rain, is helping firefighting efforts.
Evacuated Family Talk employees have been able to move back into their homes and everyone on the staff is safe and sound.
Many hundreds of people in western states throughout the U.S. have been affected by wildfires. Your continued prayers for them and the heroic firefighters battling the blazes are much appreciated.
BREAKING NEWS: PLEASE PRAY!
Wednesday, June 27, 2012 Thousands of families have been evacuated in Colorado Springs as acres burn in the rocky mountain forests. Record temperatures and unpredictable winds have pushed fires from the base of Pikes Peak into residential areas where homes have been consumed and more are threatened by the hour. Several Family Talk employees face mandatory evacuation from their homes. Please join us in prayer that the fires will be controlled, that homes and lives will be spared and for God's grace on all who fight and flee from this destructive force.
