California Takes Aim at Conservative Beliefs

Written by Dr. James Dobson | March 30, 2021

New legislation in California lays the groundwork for the radical left to expel men and women with conservative beliefs from the police force.

With a cleverly worded title, the California Law Enforcement Accountability Reform Act (CLEAR Act), seeks to address "the infiltration of extremists in our law enforcement agencies" by weeding out officers who have used “hate speech” or are affiliated with any "hate group."

What's the problem?

Well, the bill defines hate speech as "advocating or supporting the denial of constitutional rights of, the genocide of, or violence towards, any group of persons based upon race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability."

By this measure, anyone who opposes the horrific Equality Act, or believes that marriage is the union of one man and one woman, or speaks out against radical "gender reassignment" experiments being conducted on children would arguably be guilty of hate speech. And conservative groups such as the Family Research Council and Alliance Defending Freedom (both of which Dr. Dobson helped found) have been labeled as hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center, whose "ratings" have been widely cited by AmazonSmile and other organizations. Accordingly, anyone found to have donated to or otherwise supported these organizations could be deemed unfit for the police force.

If you live in California, you must speak out today about this legislation, and demand that your representatives stand up for conservatives and conservative values. And if you live outside California, it’s time to take action now, before similar legislation makes it to your state. Contact your representatives and ask what they are doing to prevent attacks on your conservative beliefs.
