Clemson University Official Says Republican Applicants are Part of an "Oppressive Group"

Written by Dobson Policy Center | February 10, 2022

An admissions counselor at Clemson University recently found herself in hot water after referring to Republican applicants as part of an "oppressive group."

Monica Rozman posted on Snapchat that "no one cares if you're Republican," and added that Republican applicants "identify with an oppressive group" if they fail to "actively denounce the white supremacy and misogyny" in the party.

Not surprisingly, this political rant attracted swift criticism, forcing Clemson to respond. Joe Galbraith, associate vice president for strategic communications at Clemson University, provided a statement to Fox News stating that Rozman had been "reassigned" pending a human resources investigation.
