COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. August 10, 2018—Just hours after the James Dobson Family Institute (JDFI) director of the Dobson Policy Center, Jenna Ellis, Esq., appeared on Fox News Cavuto Live with guest host Maria Bartiromo, President Trump tweeted a quote from Ellis' segment to his more than 53 million followers:
Jenna Ellis "FBI thought they wouldn't get caught because they thought that Hillary was going to win. There is overt bias and that depends on whether you are Democrat or Republican - a double standard that needs to stop." (3:50 PM - 9 Aug 2018)
While the president focused on a specific segment regarding the apparent partisanship within the FBI, Ellis' larger point addressed the importance of equal application of justice. The segment underscores one of the central missions of the JDFI: To advocate for the preservation of the Judeo-Christian values that undergird America's system of government.
The presidential tweet comes on the heels of a busy week in the media for Dr. Dobson, who serves as an informal faith advisor to President Trump and has advised five U.S. Presidents across four decades. On Monday, Dr. Dobson appeared on Fox News Radio's The Todd Starnes Show, followed by an appearance on Salem Radio's The Dennis Prager Show on Tuesday. In both appearances, Dr. Dobson issued an urgent call to Christians to vote in the upcoming midterm elections, which is the topic of his August Newsletter entitled "No Time To Go Wobbly."
