Scientists Plan to Grow—and Destroy—Human Embryos

Written by Dr. James Dobson | June 10, 2021

Scientists want to grow human embryos in a lab… and then destroy them.

In March, reports emerged that researchers had successfully grown mice in an artificial womb for 11-12 days (half the animal's gestation period). Jacob Hanna, a developmental biologist at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, said, "This sets the stage for other species. I hope that it will allow scientists to grow human embryos until week five." He added, "I would advocate growing it until day 40 and then disposing of it."

At the time, there was at least some hope that such barbaric experiments would be preventable. After all, what Hanna was advocating for has long been illegal in many countries or, at the very least considered unethical based on guidelines forbidding embryologists from "growing" human embryos for more than two weeks.

Not any more.

The International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR), based in Illinois, has issued its guidelines for stem cell researching, recommending that the 14-day rule be eliminated.

Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) was rightly outraged by this development. "The ISSCR has shown an utter disregard for the value and dignity of human life," said Rep. Smith. "Its previous rule allowing scientists to create and experiment on human embryos up to 14 days was already unethical and morally repugnant, but the ISSCR has now removed all restraint, allowing unborn humans at any stage of development to be experimented on, manipulated, and destroyed."

This is absolutely sickening! Understand that scientists plan to grow unborn children in a test tube until the child reaches what scientists call Carnegie stage 16. At this stage, this precious child has a beating heart, and his or her brain, limbs, eyes, and ears are forming. And then, scientists want to destroy this life. Your prayers for the unborn are crucial.
