"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:"
–Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)
Daily Meditation: Ecclesiastes 3, Ecclesiastes 4, Daniel 2:17-23Thousands of years had gone by from the creation of the world until Jesus walked the earth. He waited until he was 30 to begin his ministry, and then it only lasted three short years. We know that Father God was not waiting for Jesus to develop better character, so he must have had a plan and a purpose in his timing of every last detail. Although I may not always understand it, there certainly is "a time for everything." I don't know every season that is coming, but I do know I can trust that God is aware of me, my needs, and my desires. I can rest in him.
Sometimes it's easier for us to appreciate the seasons of the past or the future than it is for us to embrace our current season. We do not know why we have to prepare so long, or if our dream will ever come to fruition. We may look to the past or the future with rose colored glasses, yet feel the full stress of today. There is a reason for the season you are in, sister. Do not wish it away. There are gifts available to you now that you may not fully recognize until weeks, months, or even years from today.
I may not understand it, but I can know without a doubt that there is "a time for everything." I don't know every season that is coming, but I know I can trust that God meets me right where I am. Right now. Right here. Chose to blossom where you are planted. Let him lead you into your tomorrow.
"Even when it hurts
Even when it's hard
Even when it all just falls apart
I will run to You
'Cause I know that You are
Lover of my soul
Healer of my scars
You steady my heart"
Be fearless: Challenge yourself to spend some time this week specifically thanking God for your current season. Write down several very short-term goals for making the most out of today and this week.
