A Medical Journal Advocates for Loss of Parental Rights When it Comes to "Gender Transition"

Written by Dr. James Dobson | July 21, 2021

If a child claims to be transgender, "parents should lose veto power over most transition-related pediatric care."

That's the incredible argument made by Arizona State University assistant professor Maura Priest, writing in the Journal of Medical Ethics.

According to Priest, the opinion of the child is the only one that matters when it comes to life-altering treatment and bodily mutilation. Priest argues that "only the patient has access to the true weight of transition-related benefits," and therefore parents should either support the decision or be swept aside.

Such treatments are abhorrent. As Dr. James Dobson has written, "These hurting individuals need our compassion and careā€”not a cocktail of drugs and disfiguring surgeries that could well cause irreversible harm to their bodies."

We are fearfully and wonderfully made by a Creator who loves us. Lying to our children about the essence of male and female (Genesis 1:27) is an evil assault and must be opposed. If you aren't actively teaching your children about God's design for males and females, including human sexuality, you need to start!
