Republican Senator Fights Back Against President Biden's Plan to Allow Male Convicts in Women's Prisons

Written by Dobson Policy Center | January 27, 2022

We recently reported that the Biden administration is seeking to reinstitute a federal policy, revoked under the Trump administration, that allows male criminals to transfer to women's prisons based on their subjective "gender identity."

One Republican Senator is determined to stop this nonsense, but he will need your help.

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) has proposed a bill that requires prisoners to be housed based on their gender at birth, not their gender identity.

"President Biden's plan to house male and female prisoners together will put women in danger," Cotton said in a statement. "Documented cases prove that placing men — including ones who 'identify' as female — in women's prisons puts female inmates at increased risk of sexual assault. My bill will stop the President's ill-conceived plan and keep men and women separated in federal prison."

It is likely that the Biden administration and its allies on the far Left will aggressively fight this commonsense bill. Are conservatives and people of faith willing to push back? Contact your representatives today and ask them to support the Preventing Violence Against Female Inmates Act.
