What Are Our Public Schools Teaching?

Written by Dr. James Dobson | November 01, 2021

If you read the latest headlines and feel deep concern about our public education system, you aren't alone.

A recent nationwide survey conducted by Fox News found that 73 percent of registered voters were "extremely" or "very" concerned about what public schools are teaching children. Only inflation, political divisions, and health care were more distressing to respondents.

"The debate about the nature of the curriculum in the public schools has become a hot button issue for Republicans," said Daron Shaw, a Republican pollster who conducted the survey along with Democrat Chris Anderson. "There is strong sentiment on the right that administrators are imposing a liberal agenda against the wishes of parents."

Few parents will be surprised by these results. As Dr. James Dobson explains:

"There is a fierce battle being waged now in our nation's classrooms for the hearts and souls of our children and grandchildren. Make no mistake, the Left and the secular culture are manipulating the minds of your sons and daughters every day of the year.

In some schools, children are also taught homosexual propaganda, sexual liberation, and other unbiblical and revolutionary concepts. While parents think early public education is about reading, writing, math, and social studies, many boys and girls are being taught concepts that would have horrified earlier generations."

Meanwhile, the National School Boards Association (NSBA) has urged President Biden to weaponize the U.S. Justice Department by empowering it "to investigate threats of violence from parents who are upset about school curriculum, saying these threats may amount to domestic terrorism." Fox News reports that only 53 percent believe school boards actually need extra protection. Another 40 percent believe this is an attempt to "stop parents from opposing [bad school] policies by asking the federal government for help."

Do you know what your children's school is teaching? You'd better find out!
