Contrary to press reports, Israel did not launch an unprovoked attack on Iran. It launched a preemptive, precision strike to deter Iran from its nearly complete goal of becoming a nuclear power. For decades, the Iranian regime has been attacking Israel through the numerous proxies that it funded and controlled—Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, and pro-Iranian militias in Iraq and Syria. Israel has warned Iran repeatedly to stop its deadly attacks.

Iranian leaders have stated that their goal is to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, and they routinely chant, “Death to Israel! Death to America!”

A nuclear-armed Iran is an existential threat to Israel and a threat to U.S. assets in the Middle East. A nuclear-armed Iran would inevitably threaten the security of the United States and our allies.

Nuclear weapons in the hands of a radical regime bent on genocide, that believes it has a religious duty to kill Jews and Christians, is a threat to world peace.
