How Should Christians React to AI?
Interest in and arguments about artificial intelligence (AI) are reaching a boiling point. How should Christians think about and process all these alarming claims? Here are my answers to some fundamental concerns.

Changing Words, Redefining Reality
Recently, there was an avalanche of outrage when President Trump announced he was renaming Lake Ontario as Lake America. As you can imagine, the Canadians were outraged, as was virtually every media outlet in the United States. Here at JDFI, we don’t have a position on who decides the names of bodies of water. But I couldn’t help but notice the hypocrisy on display as the controversy unfolded. There are many more serious examples of things being renamed, and we have all been victims of this malicious trend.

The Marxist/Islamist Alliance Hated Charlie Kirk . . . And They Hate Us Too
The raucous crowd in the San Francisco auditorium was ready for a celebration of hate. The scheduled speaker bounded onto the stage wearing his signature Mao suit, named after the infamous communist Chinese mass murderer Mao Zedong. He and the crowd then burst into song as lyrics were projected onto a screen in the room. The song was written in remembrance of assassinated Christian conservative leader Charlie Kirk. But they weren’t singing to honor Kirk. They sang to mock him and celebrate that he had been murdered on a university campus on September 10, 2025.

Suffer the Little Children
There was a big celebration in the office of the Governor of Massachusetts recently. Above is a photo of the event. Over a dozen very happy ladies stand around the desk of Governor Maura Healey for a bill-signing ceremony. From the smiles and applause, it appears the new law must be a great thing for Massachusetts and particularly for women. Perhaps it was tax relief for working families or a new law to protect women’s sports. I should have known better. It was a new death-sentence law aimed at more defenseless unborn babies.

“Public policy” refers in other contexts to politics, such as elections and political parties. That is not what we mean by the term. Our focus is on issues related to righteousness in the culture, such as the sanctity of human life, the God-ordained institution of marriage, parental rights, freedom of religion, and other liberties guaranteed in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. This is an incomplete list but should be illustrative. Of course, we are also opposed to policies that are anti-biblical, such as critical race theory and other efforts to propagandize and manipulate the minds of children. We oppose the entire LGBTQ ideology, as well as adultery, premarital sex, and matters that most conservative Christians view as contrary to Scripture. At the heart of our belief system is a biblical worldview, such as absolute truth and the teachings of Jesus. We are committed to the family as outlined in the Book of Genesis, a view of the family that is under vicious attack from within our culture. We are here to defend the family with every resource. Indeed, defending and promoting these beliefs and the truths in God’s Word are our raison d’etre, our reason to be.
