In this week’s episode of Defending Faith, Family, and Freedom with Gary Bauer, senior vice president of public policy at the James Dobson Family Institute, Bauer discusses the shocking murder of Athens, Georgia nursing student Laken Riley. Twenty-two-year-old Riley, who was jogging at the University of Georgia’s intramural fields, was allegedly brutally murdered by a 26-year-old Venezuelan, who was in the U.S. illegally and had been previously arrested and released in New York for attacking a child. This heinous act on this Christian young woman was entirely preventable. The blame for this tragedy falls at the feet of President Joe Biden and his reckless open-border policy.
