Elisabeth Elliot Gren

Elisabeth Elliot Gren was the wife of Jim Elliot, a missionary who was martyred while ministering to an unreached group of people in the Amazonian jungle of Ecuador. After her husband’s death, Elisabeth felt God calling her to minister to the very tribe who had killed him. She went on to become a well-known speaker and author of over 20 books, including Passion and Purity, Let Me Be a Woman, and Shadow of the Almighty. For 13 years, she hosted her own radio program called “Gateway to Joy.” Elisabeth passed away at the age of 88 and is survived by her third husband, Lars Gren, her daughter, Valarie Elliot Shephard, and many grandchildren.
