Star Parker is the founder and president of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education (CURE), fighting poverty and restoring dignity through faith, freedom, and personal responsibility. In 2017, Star joined the White House Opportunity Initiative advisory team and was appointed to the U.S. Frederick Douglass Bicentennial Commission. Star has a BA in Marketing and International Business and has received numerous awards and commendations for her work on public policy issues. She has authored several books, including Uncle Sam’s Plantation, and serves as a regular commentator on television and radio.
