The late Jean Lush was an author and certified counselor with CRISTA Ministries in Seattle, Washington. For over 30 years, she offered insight into the dynamics of womanhood via her ministry and published works, and became well known for her radio and television outreach. Lush co-authored many books, including Mothers and Sons: Raising Boys to be Men, Women and Stress: Practical Ways to Manage Tension, and the best-selling Emotional Phases of a Woman’s Life. Lush attended The University of Adelaide in South Australia, and was one of the first women certified as a marriage counselor in the state of Washington. Jean died of cancer in 1996 at the age of 82. She and her husband, Lyall, who preceded her in death in 1991, proudly raised a son, David, and a daughter, Robin. Jean is survived by her children, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
