Meet the Guest

Darryl Strawberry

Darryl Strawberry had an amazing 17-year baseball career, which included playing for the New York Mets and New York Yankees. He was named National League Rookie of the Year, and played in eight consecutive All-Star games, racked up 335 home runs and won four World Series Championships. But despite his many successes, Darryl was tormented by addiction and suffered through divorce, cancer, jail time and other personal problems. His life has since been completely transformed, and today Darryl maintains 17 years of sobriety, which he credits to God. Darryl and his wife, Tracy, have nine children between them. They are both international speakers and published authors, and together have set up The Darryl Strawberry Foundation—an organization dedicated to helping autistic children. Darryl also founded the Darryl Strawberry Recovery Centers, which are alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities.
