Federal Court Blocks Biden Abortion Policy

As President, Donald Trump consistently acted to protect the sanctity of human life. His administration passed a rule that ensured medical professionals wouldn’t be forced to participate in abortions.

Joe Biden reversed this pro-life rule.

Now, a federal court is involved. Earlier this month, a district court in Texas blocked the Biden administration policy which would have forced religious doctors and hospitals to kill unborn children through abortion. The policy also could have been used to compel medical professionals to perform gender mutilation (so-called “gender transition procedures”) on patients, including young children!

The case was filed by Becket on behalf of a religious hospital, an association of more than 20,000 healthcare professionals, and nine states. Luke Goodrich, vice president and senior counsel at Becket, had this to say:

Today’s ruling is a victory for compassion, conscience, and common sense.  No doctor should be forced to perform controversial, medically unsupported procedures that are contrary to their conscience and could be deeply harmful to their patients.

The Biden administration has 60 days to decide whether to appeal the ruling. It comes as no surprise that President Biden was attempting to ram this provision through. As LifeNews reported, then-candidate Biden had promised to “eliminate conscience protections for pro-life health care providers, forcing them to adhere to pro-abortion ideology even if it conflicts with their medical judgment.”

Please pray that courts continue to reject these efforts to instill a culture of death in America. Also, pray that God would reveal the truth about the sanctity of human life to all those who continue to deny it.
