Standing for Life Costs Five Brave Souls Their Freedom

JDFI condemns the outrageous conviction of five pro-life activists who were found guilty in federal court this week of violating the FACE Act. They peacefully held a sit-in at a notorious Washington, D.C., abortion clinic.

The court declared their protest a form of “violence” and immediately sent these pro-life activists to prison. They are facing possible sentences of 11 years in jail and $350,000 in fines for the “crime” of attempting to save innocent preborn babies.

The nation’s capital is in the middle of an actual crime wave with innocent victims in every neighborhood. Meanwhile, actual violence against scores of pregnancy resource centers and pro-life organizations across the country has been largely ignored by the Biden Administration.

America recently celebrated the 60th anniversary of Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous address at Lincoln Memorial. The civil rights movement King led was known for peaceful sit-ins. Those heroes and heroines were thrown in jail, too.

Pray for these brave pro-life activists, and pray that their courage will inspire us all to boldly stand for life.
