This report is one of the most urgent I have ever written. I believe we are in an emergency. We’re in one of the most dangerous moments since the Civil War. For the first time in American history, avowed Marxist and radical Islamists have formed an alliance that is gaining political power. The target is not just our government, but also our trust in God, in the God-ordained family, and in truth itself.
Christians will often disagree on fine points of theology, but I know we all agree that godless Marxism is evil. We also understand the threat from radical Islamism. Both represent grave threats to America and to our religious liberty.
Research by the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom shows that the worst violators of Christian freedom are consistently communist and Muslim-majority-controlled countries. Fortunately, our nation was built on the idea that liberty comes from the God of the Bible—not from government.
As we celebrate the 250th birthday of our Republic this year, Marxists and radical Islamists are at war with that Republic. Their goal is to shred our Constitution and effectively end the United States of America. There are many irreconcilable ideological differences between radical Islamists and Socialist-Marxists. But, for now, they agree on one overriding goal: Judeo-Christian Western civilization must be destroyed.
This alliance of the far Left and radical Islam is winning Americans’ hearts and minds, particularly among our college-educated youth. Last year, Zohran Mamdani was elected the first Muslim mayor of New York City. He ran as a self-described socialist and vicious critic of America. He was supported by the Democrat Socialists of America. This year, his Socialist-Muslim coalition won multiple Democrat Party congressional primaries, defeating incumbents who weren’t radical enough. This poison of Marxism isn’t limited to New York City. It is spreading across our country, winning elections in California, Colorado, Kentucky, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas. There are likely more victories ahead in upcoming Democrat primaries in Michigan, Missouri, and other local races.
Seattle, Washington, now has a socialist anti-free enterprise mayor. In Los Angeles, Mayor Karen Bass is very liberal, but she may be defeated in November by someone even further left. Washington, DC, our nation’s capital, is on its way to having a Marxist as the head of the city’s government.
These radicals are nothing like the Democrats of the past. John F. Kennedy would not recognize today’s extremists. Nor would Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr.
Take Darializa Avila Chevalier, one of the insurgents who won a House of Representatives race in New York City. She founded a radical organization openly dedicated to “the eradication of Western Civilization.”1 Her social media is full of praise for Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, and Joseph Stalin. She is also a Muslim convert who joined pro-Hamas demonstrations on October 8, 2023. Just hours after Hamas terrorists raped and slaughtered 1,200 innocent Israelis, she was demonstrating in support of the terrorists. Now she is on her way to the US House of Representatives!
Chevalier is representative of the unholy alliance between godless Marxists and radical Islamists who believe they please Allah when they kill us.
Abdul El-Sayed, a Democrat candidate for the U.S. Senate from Michigan, said he “struggles”2 with the idea of Israel even existing as a Jewish state. El-Sayed and other DSA candidates have campaigned with openly antisemitic Muslim social media influencer Hasan Piker, who has millions of followers. Piker has said the United States “deserved 9/11,”3 the terrorist attack on the United States in 2001. He was a featured speaker at the College Democrats of America national convention. Piker has said while he doesn’t call himself a communist, he doesn’t have an issue with the end goals of communism. He described those goals as a “stateless, moneyless, classless society.”4
History has shown, whether a Lenin or a Hitler, that small, dedicated cadres of elected revolutionaries can cause chaos in legislatures. They can accomplish incredible amounts of their agenda, doing untold damage, by sheer force of will. It is very likely there will be a socialist “caucus” organized in Congress after November’s election.
Marxist movements have often used street violence to intimidate opponents. Once in power, Marxist regimes have been responsible for the deaths of an estimated 100 million people around the world. Today’s Marxist-Islamist movement is supported by groups such as Antifa, Transtifa, the Socialist Rifle Association, Students for Justice in Palestine, and many others.
We have already seen violent demonstrations in the streets of Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and Seattle to prevent effective immigration enforcement. Many of these radical groups are funded by billionaire Neville Singham,5 a Maoist who some investigators believe is taking his orders from the Chinese Communist Party. America’s foreign enemies are working with and encouraging America’s domestic enemies. Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently brought dozens of countries together to develop a strategy to counter growing left-wing violence across the world.
When these socialists and Islamists speak in public, they promise “Medicare for All,” free childcare, and affordable housing. Sounds good! Never mind the trillions of dollars of costs and the massive tax increases on the American family that would be needed. At the same time, they mobilize their socialist base by saying, “Erase the border,” “Kill the capitalists,” “Revolution Now,” “Abolish the police,” “Empty the prisons,” “America is evil,” and other radical goals.
What can you do? Vote! You MUST vote.
As Christian citizens we all have a responsibility to vote. As concerned parents and grandparents, we have an obligation to vote to ensure that our children and grandchildren enjoy the same freedom and prosperity we have enjoyed. Unfortunately, the political momentum appears to be with the Islamists, the Marxists, and the radical secularists.
Pollsters measure something called “voter intensity” to identify who is most enthusiastic about the election and most likely to show up on Election Day. Dozens of polls have found the same thing: The radical Left is fired up, while conservatives and Christians seem to be asleep.
The latest Washington Post-Ipsos poll found that left-oriented voters are “absolutely certain to vote this November”6 at much higher rates than Christians. If that gap persists on Election Day, it will be a landslide for the Islamist-Marxist Left and a disaster for our country and our values.
