Here’s an illustration of manhood at its best. After all, how else can we get a handle on the ephemeral qualities of character and strength in a man of God? It is understood most readily by observing a good model, and I crossed paths momentarily with one of the finest a few years ago.

Or that it has been reserved for the first Thursday in May by every president since then, to turn our nation’s attention back to God? On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. Tim Clinton interviews Kathy Branzell and Pastor Sammy Rodriguez, the co-hosts of the 2023 National Day of Prayer television special and worship event. Together, these friends remind us to lift our hearts and cares directly to the Lord. James 5:16 declares, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
