The Biden administration and their allies are doubling down on promoting radical mutilating surgeries and powerful sterilizing chemicals for children suffering from gender dysphoria.
President Biden has said that passing laws preventing the mutilation of children is "close to sin. He and other officials disgustingly refer to removing a little girl's breasts or chemically castrating a little boy as "gender-affirming care." There is nothing "caring" about it. It is child abuse and it must end. To protect children from this abuse is not "sinful."
Transgender Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services Rachel Levine, speaking at the Connecticut Children's Hospital, said that these horrifying medical procedures have the "highest support" of the Biden administration. Levine and HHS are pressuring healthcare providers to perform these procedures or be charged with possible discrimination lawsuits. Levine made it clear that the Biden administration is "optimistic and hopeful" that these abusive medical treatments will become routine and not "such a minefield."
Representative Andy Harris (R-MD), a member of the House Doctors Caucus and co-chair of the Pro-Life Caucus, called Levine's comments "reprehensible." Rep. Harris is co-sponsoring the "Protect Children's Innocence Act," which would prohibit harmful medical procedures on minor children.
As Americans have become more informed, the general public now opposes these radical surgeries and sterilization of children. The October 2022 Trafalgar poll found that 79% of likely voters said that children should wait until they are adults before using puberty blockers and undergoing sex change procedures. Only 21% said children should not wait and be allowed to undergo such radical procedures.
Nonetheless, left-wing politicians in multiple states are adamantly promoting this abuse of children and attacking parents who don't subject their kids to it. The Democrat lieutenant governor of Minnesota said that if your child tells you he or she is transgender, you are obligated to subject your child to deforming surgeries and powerful chemicals. "That's what it means to be a good parent," she said.
That advice is insane and immoral. Our children should not be sacrificed on the altar of transgender radicalism. No parent should give consent to the mutilation of his or her own children by subjecting them to these thoroughly unproven radical procedures. Children are not lab rats — they are human beings made in the image of God.
