Pray For the Persecuted Church
November 5th was the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Hundreds of millions of Christians around the world live in nations where they face severe persecution for their faith.
Gary served in the Reagan administration as Under Secretary of Education and Head of the Office of Policy Development. Gary became president of the Family Research Council, senior vice president of Focus on the Family, and was appointed by President Trump to the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom. He currently serves as president of American Values and chairman of Campaign for Working Families PAC.

Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson (R-LA) and his Christian faith continue to come under heavy attack in the media from radical secularists and powerful left-wing special interest groups. To his credit, Speaker Johnson shows no sign of "hiding his light under a basket," choosing instead to educate his critics and teach a little American history while he is at it!
In this week's episode of Defending Faith, Family, and Freedom, Gary Bauer calls out pro-Hamas demonstrations that are occurring at universities and large cities worldwide for what they are, anti-Israel hate rallies. Most disturbing was the demonstration that happened over the weekend in Washington, D.C., where nearly 100,000 Islamist-supporting activists defaced statues of America’s historical heroes, surrounded the White House, and chanted, “Biden, Biden you can’t hide!” All while attempting to breach the perimeter fencing. Bauer issues a dark warning. These pro-Hamas antisemites don’t just hate Jews, they also hate America.
It is profoundly disturbing to see an explosion of anti-Semitism right here in the United States, as well as around the world. I hope there is no need to remind us all that anti-Semitism and racism of any kind are indisputably sins.
Dr. James Dobson and the whole team at JDFI were excited to learn the news that Representative Mike Johnson (R-LA) was elected the new speaker of the House of Representatives by a unanimous vote of the Republican majority. By virtue of his new position, Speaker Johnson is now second in line for the presidency, after Vice President Kamala Harris.
In this week's episode of Defending Faith, Family, and Freedom with Gary Bauer, senior vice president of public policy at the James Dobson Family Institute, Bauer celebrates the election of Rep. Mike Johnson as the new Republican Speaker of the House. In his acceptance speech, Speaker Johnson stated his strong agreement with the founders where they wrote in the Deceleration of Independence that our freedoms come from God, not government. Since this speech the Speaker was interviewed by Sean Hannity at Fox News, where Hannnity asked Rep. Johnson about his political philosophy. “Go pick up a Bible off your shelf and read it. That’s my worldview. That’s what I believe,” Johnson replied. This isn’t sitting well with the mainstream media or Democrats in Washington, D.C., who are caterwauling that the new Speaker wants to turn America into a Christian theocracy! Bauer reminds listeners that this is nonsense and that Speaker Johnson’s beliefs are solidly in alignment with the vast majority of the Founding Fathers, and even those of religious skeptic Benjamin Franklin, who said in a speech near the end of his life, “I have lived a long time, sir, and the longer I live the more convincing proofs I see of this truth—that ...
The Biden administration is not only attempting to compel speech at HHS, in schools and on university campuses, they are also targeting your workplace.
You can add Canada to the list of Western countries whose "elites" want to "cancel" the God of the Bible. Outraged members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) say they have been directed not to call upon God during public prayer! The reason? Doing so might violate inclusivity and diversity.
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is one of the largest federal bureaucracies. Its budget dwarfs that of the Pentagon and it employs more than 80,000 people. Because of the massive scope of HHS, its policies have a huge ripple effect throughout the entire federal government and the country.
In this week's episode of Defending Faith, Family, and Freedom, Gary Bauer speaks again with Tom Rose who served in the Trump White House as one of the administration’s top foreign policy advisors. Rose shares terrifying new information he received in a press briefing from Israeli forensic pathologists in Tel Aviv. In this podcast, Rose, the former editor of the Jerusalem Post, describes what he saw in this presentation as the most heinous acts committed on human beings he has ever witnessed. Despite this information being widely known, students at American universities and high schools are marching by the tens of thousands in support of Hamas! Bauer calls on Christians to fight back by reaching out to Jews and Jewish organizations with love and support. And to pray that God will soften the hearts and open the minds of America's young people and politicians who are so woefully misguided.
