Betty Huizenga developed the Apples of Gold program at the Lord’s nudging to teach young women the skills needed to establish caring homes for their families. Since starting the ministry in her church in Holland, Michigan, the program has spread across the country and around the world. Betty is the author of Apples of Gold: A Six Week Nurturing Program for Women, Gifts of Gold: Gathering, Training, and Encouraging Mentors, and Appleseeds: A Mentoring Program for Preteen Girls.
