Dr. Richard Furman is a retired vascular surgeon and the co-founder of World Medical Mission, in association with Samaritan’s Purse. His background includes serving as past president of the North Carolina Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, past president of the North Carolina Surgical Society, and governor of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Furman is the author of several books, including Defeating Dementia, and Prescription for Life.
