Give Them Unshakable Faith – Are Your Kids Prepared? Part 1

The vast majority of young people do not believe in absolute truth, that Christ is divine, or that the Bible is the Living Word. No wonder 75% say they have no sense of purpose and over half struggle with depression. On today's edition of Family Talk, Dr. Jeff Myers, president of Summit Ministries, explains that after young adults graduate from the Summit's 2-week summer program, 86% have a biblical worldview compared to the 4% national average. They also become equipped to stand up for and defend truth , with a capital "T" , in College and beyond. When Dr. Dobson's son, Ryan, attended as a teen in 1987, it changed his life.

On today's classic edition of Family Talk, author Jay Kesler proves that grandparenting is indeed a higher calling. Praying Boldly

Prayer is not only our way of communicating with God, but an instrument we can use to bring change in our families and communities. On today's edition of Family Talk, Pastor Mark Batterson, author of The Circle Maker, invites listeners to see prayer in a new way. On today's edition of Family Talk, Dennis invites listeners to commit their lives to leaving a legacy of "spiritual shade trees" for generations to come. Psalm 145:4 says, "Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power."

Planting Shade Trees – Part 2

According to Dr. Dobson, "an inheritance is something you leave to someone, while a legacy is something you instill in someone." On today's edition of Family Talk, speaker and comedian Dennis Swanberg delights an audience through his memories with his family. As he reflects on the humorous moments with his parents and grandparents, Swanberg explains that the spiritual legacy they left him was like someone planting a shade tree. When Thomas Edison invented the light bulb, he couldn't envision New York City's skyline, and when the Wright brothers built the first plane, they couldn't envision a 747. They planted "shade trees" for future generations to enjoy.
