An Attitude of Gratitude

For a Christian, Thanksgiving should be a lot more than just food, family, and football. Sadly, there are more than 400,000 kids in foster care in the U.S., waiting to find a family. On today's edition of Family Talk, Dr. Dobson sits down with Billy Jack and Anne Barrett, as well as J.R. and Reyna Keller, who tell how God has honored their sacrificial willingness to open their homes. Reyna shared that when she asked her sixteen-year-old son about what he's learned while adjusting to a new younger sibling, he replied, "Love is a choice and an action." Faith Before Politics

When Ronald Reagan campaigned for President of the United States, he said, "I believe this country hungers and thirsts for a spiritual revival." Nothing could be more accurate today. On today’s edition of Family Talk, guest speaker Bob Vander Plaats, President of the Iowa-based public policy organization, The Family Leader, urges citizens to engage the Body of Christ and anchor it with prayer. Bob encourages pastors to be boldly biblical and culturally relevant from the pulpit. Only then, as Hebrews 2:1 teaches us, will the church and its people be empowered to stand firm in their knowledge of truth and boldly proclaim it.
