Long before he discovered the five love languages, his relationship with his wife, Karolyn, was rocky to say the least! Gary Chapman, Ph.D

Gary Chapman, Ph.D., is a graduate of the Moody Bible Institute, with a Bachelor of Arts from Wheaton College and a Master of Arts from Wake Forest University in the field of anthropology. He has also received a Master of Religious Education (M.R.E.) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in adult education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Gary is the author of many best-selling books, including The Five Love Languages, which has been on the New York Times Best-Seller list since 2007. His nationally syndicated radio program, "Building Relationships," is broadcast on the Moody Radio Network and airs on over 400 affiliate stations. Dr. Chapman is married to Karolyn, and they have two adult children, Shelley and Derek.
