The Value of the Hispanic Christian Vote: Making Our Voices Heard

According to Pastor Sammy Rodriguez, “Our vote cannot be separated from our Christian faith. In fact, our vote is an extension of our faith!” On today’s edition of Family Talk. Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, proclaims that the color of his skin doesn’t define him. It’s his faith in Christ that does. The increasing sexualization of children, skyrocketing inflation, and the secular culture’s attack on Christians has awakened a sleeping giant, prompting believers to make their voices heard at the polls.

As Roe Crumbles, We Look to the Road Ahead – Part 2

Ever since the bad law known as Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court, the current administration has wanted to codify the right to an abortion that would allow this shameful act from conception through birth and perhaps beyond. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Janet Porter, founder of Faith2Action, quotes Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He said, “Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act. God will not hold us guiltless if we are silent in this hour.” The people of God need to rise up in defense of the unborn.

As Roe Crumbles, We Look to the Road Ahead – Part 1

After Roe v. Wade crumbled to the ground on June 24, 2022, nearly 20 states passed laws protecting unborn babies. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Janet Porter, the architect behind The Heartbeat Bill, rejoices that so many states have protected babies. A federal Heartbeat bill would protect children in the womb, even in the darkest blue states like California, Michigan, and New York. Proverbs 24:11 commands us to “rescue those being carried away to slaughter.” The church needs to rise up now and be a voice for the voiceless.

As a college freshman, Rebekah Hagan found herself pregnant with her second child. Already an unwed mother to her son, Eli, whom she had when she was seventeen, Rebekah was overwhelmed and fearful. America’s Moral Freefall – Part 2

In the early 1980s, Dr. Francis Schaeffer warned of the disastrous effects of elevating an individual’s needs over the needs of society. Sadly, we are seeing his words of caution come to fruition even now. On today’s classic edition of Family Talk, Dr. Schaeffer calls out Bible-believing Christians for their silence in the face of the great moral issues of our day. He asserts that the Church has failed for two reasons. First, we’ve forgotten that Jesus is not only our Savior, but the Lord of all life. Second, many of us are too afraid to speak out. Dr. Schaeffer says that like the early Christians and America’s founding fathers, we must seek to obey God rather than man.

America’s Moral Freefall – Part 1

America's moral structure has been deteriorating in the last 40 years under the weight of a secular worldview. He states that abortion, the failed public school system and the breakdown of the family are simply the ugly and inevitable results of a shift from a Christian worldview to a humanist worldview.

Family Policy Issues Hanging in the Balance

The problem in our culture is simple. Like the Israelites in Judges 17:6, everyone is doing what is right in his or her own eyes. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Christian radio host Janet Parshall says that anytime people search for their significance apart from the Lord, it leads to sinful chaos. From the increase in “gender affirming” care to new definitions of marriage, Americans are rejecting their God-given design. If Christians want God-honoring, pro-family policies re-established and maintained in our nation, we must make our voices heard at the polls.
