“As He rode along, they spread their cloaks on the road… ‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!’”
📖 Luke 19:36-38
Palm Sunday reminds us that the King has come, but we need to prepare the way through acts of surrender.
When Jesus rode into Jerusalem as Savior and King, the people laid down their cloaks and palm branches in surrender and honor. They were preparing the way for the coming King.
Below is a devotion guide for you to follow along with or to lead your family in.
Reflection:
The people prepared the way for Jesus with outward surrender. As parents, we have the opportunity to prepare the way in our homes. That begins with surrender in our own lives. We cannot lead our children where we have not gone. If we want Christ to be their Savior, we must model what it looks like to follow Him fully.
A Prayer for the Season:
Father, as we approach Easter, help us prepare our hearts and our home for what matters most. Give us wisdom as parents to lead our families in truth. May Christ be the center of this season in our home. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
