The children’s section in many public libraries is beginning to look like an LGBTQ advocacy section. Whether “The GayBC’s,” “Worm Loves Worm,” or “Jack not Jackie,” activists are seeking to capture the hearts and minds of our children.

Take “The GayBCs,” which exchanges the alphabet for the LBGTQ alphabet. Inside this children’s picture book are definitions for “bi,” “coming out,” “drag,” “lesbian,” “trans,” and more. Is this material appropriate for young children? No!

Those of us who are passionately committed to the Judeo-Christian system of beliefs are losing our kids right before our eyes. We must defend our children! Public libraries and schools can’t be counted on to instill your kids with moral virtue, but parents can provide the care and guidance that is needed, and can build into their sons and daughters the moral and spiritual foundation they need to navigate this world.

So take responsibility for your children’s moral and spiritual development. Even if you don’t homeschool your children, you need to be intimately involved in their education. What are they learning, and from whom?

Dr. James Dobson

Dr. James Dobson

Dr. James Dobson was the Founder Chairman of the James Dobson Family Institute, a nonprofit organization that produced his radio program, Dr. James Dobson's Family Talk. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California and held 18 honorary doctoral degrees. He also was the author of more than 70 books dedicated to the preservation of the family.

Dr. Dobson served as an associate clinical professor of pediatrics at the University of Southern California School of Medicine for 14 years, and on the attending staff of Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles for 17 years in the divisions of child development and medical genetics.

He advised five U.S. presidents and served on eight national commissions.

Dr. Dobson was married to Shirley for just shy of 65 years, and he was the beloved father of two grown children, Danae and Ryan, and two grandchildren.
