Last night's performance by President Biden raised serious questions about whether he is physically and mentally capable of handling the job. That said, let's look at an issue JDFI feels very strongly about: the sanctity of life. One of the most heated exchanges in the debate occurred over that issue.
Louisiana just did a "shout-out" to Moses. Governor Jeff Landry signed a first-in-the-nation bill requiring schools to display the Ten Commandments. Under the new law, all classrooms, kindergarten through state-funded universities, will be required to have a poster-size display of the Commandments.
Louisiana's new law requires displaying the Ten Commandments in classrooms, sparking outrage from the Left, who view it as a step toward theocracy. However, critics who oppose this move often support pride flags, BLM stickers, and transgender rights posters in schools. This highlights that a morally neutral classroom is impossible, as modern public schools promote different moral values under a rainbow flag instead of a cross.
In this week's episode of Defending Faith, Family, and Freedom, Gary Bauer shares that radical secularists (today's neo-Marxists) have been attempting to rewrite America's founding, to erase religion (specifically, Christianity) for a very long time. Bauer plays clips from a speech delivered by President Ronald Reagan held at a Dallas, Texas, prayer breakfast in 1984. Spoiler alert! President Reagan takes these attacks from the Left masterfully head-on. Shredding them by root and branch, the President brought the 17,000 attendees to thunderous ovations again and again. You may want to listen to this podcast more than once.
Many pro-life leaders and activists were shocked last week when the Supreme Court ruled 9-to-0 to dismiss the mifepristone chemical "abortion pill" case. JDFI signed an amicus brief supporting the pro-life position, and we are disappointed in the outcome.
Former Congressman Frank Wolf has been a friend and ally of Dr. James Dobson for decades. During Wolf's thirty-four years in Congress, he was a stalwart defender of faith, family, and freedom. Even though he is now "retired," he continues his efforts to alert American Christians about the growing peril we face.
In this week's episode of Defending Faith, Family, and Freedom with Gary Bauer, senior vice president of public policy at the James Dobson Family Institute, Bauer shares excerpts from the famous speech delivered by Benjamin Franklin on the floor of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 28, 1787. While there were no tape recordings from 237 years ago, we have the full transcript of Franklin's remarks. To tell this story, Bauer plays clips from the historical documentary We the People, with a professional actor who plays Franklin. Listen, enjoy, and share with your family and friends!
The efforts of the Biden administration to force virtually every school in America to embrace radical trans ideology were just dealt a setback in a federal court.
In this video, Joseph Backholm, a spokesperson for the Dobson Policy Center, celebrates the American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) for its recent fiery statement calling on prominent American medical institutions to halt harmful protocols promoted for children and adolescents who express discomfort with their biological sex.
