Elisabeth Elliot
Elisabeth Elliot was one of the most influential Christian women of our time. She received a B.A. in Classical Greek from Wheaton College and attended University of OK. Elisabeth was the wife of missionary Jim Elliot — who was killed in Ecuador in 1956 while reaching out to the Auca, a previously un-reached people group. She was a well-known speaker and author of 18 books including Through Gates of Splendor and Shadow of the Almighty. She is survived by her husband, Lars Gren and child, Valarie. Elisabeth passed away June 15, 2015 at the age of 88.
