Abortion is Based on a Lie

As Dr. James Dobson has written previously, "Abortion has always required the acceptance of a lie." The most foundational lie is that the unborn boy or girl is a "clump of cells," rather than a child with fingers and toes, eyes and a nose, a beating heart and a developing brain.

But many women who choose abortion believe another lie as well; the lie that sometimes abortion is "necessary." A recent study found that nearly 40% of women who have abortions described their pregnancies as "wanted." So why did these women refuse to choose life? Sadly, they believe there is no other option.

Yet, we know there is. There are pro-life pregnancy centers around the country, equipped to assist expectant mothers who are scared, and who desperately need both hope and help. Consider financially supporting a center in your area or volunteering your time. Together, we can offer compassion and help to mothers and maybe—by God's grace—this generation will finally be the one that says "no more" to abortion.
