What Happens If Roe v. Wade Is Overturned?

If our prayers are answered and Roe v. Wade is overturned, it will be a time to celebrate as abortion would be immediately illegal in thirteen states that currently have "trigger laws" which ban abortion the moment Roe is struck down. Beyond that, the Guttmacher Institute, which is the research arm of the abortion industry, believes that twenty-six states are certain or likely to ban abortion entirely if Roe v. Wade is reversed. However, this means that there will likely be twenty-four states legalizing the act of abortion—some are even now attempting to legislate the heinously wicked act of infanticide.

The Left is already making its own preparations to ensure that as many abortions as possible continue to happen even if Roe v. Wade is upended. California has already declared itself to be an abortion "sanctuary" state, and New York has made similar assurances. While a sanctuary is usually a refuge from harm, this kind of "sanctuary" is sadly a place of death. Companies like Citigroup are offering to cover travel costs for employees who want to kill their unborn children but live in a state where it is not legal to do so. Horrifically, this banking giant is working hard to protect peoples' money but will aid in the slaughtering of our most vulnerable children. Let's call it what it is—pure evil.

If that weren't enough, abortion advocates now want to extend their murderous acts to babies who are already birthed. California Assembly Bill 2223 and Maryland bills 626 and 669 both protect health care providers from liability in the event of a "perinatal death." The perinatal period is 7-28 days after birth. That means these states are looking to make sure there is no civil or criminal liability when a baby is killed in its first four weeks of life. These legislators are legalizing murder!

Egregiously, in Washington D.C., people in leadership and city officials are looking the other way as barbaric acts of infanticide may have already taken place on their watch. The remains of five, fully-formed babies were recovered from the office of Washington D.C. abortionist Cesare Santangelo, who has a history of "bad outcomes related to abortion." Several physicians who evaluated the remains speculate that they may be the victims of illegal partial-birth abortions or could have been killed after they were born. The D.C. medical examiner has refused to conduct autopsies on the babies to determine the cause of death. Similarly, D.C. Mayor, Muriel Bowser, refuses to investigate. Lord, help us as a nation if we don't raise our voices against such wickedness!

We earnestly pray that the reign of terror in the aftermath of Roe v. Wade will soon end. But even if Roe is overturned, it will be a state-by-state battle for life and there will still be much work to be done to turn our country away from embracing this culture of death.

Pro-Abortion Violence Continues

Attacks against pregnancy care centers continue across the United States. The wave of attacks began after a draft of the Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade was leaked to the press. Threats of violence against care centers and pro-life churches immediately spiked with Jane's Revenge, a particularly radical pro-abortion group, declaring "open season" on pro-life organizations.
