Save Our Children
Some historians believe America's war over what to teach our children began in 1962 when the Supreme Court decided it was unconstitutional for a child to hear a prayer or Bible verse in a public school.
Gary currently serves as senior vice president of Public Policy and Culture at JDFI, president of American Values, and chairman of Campaign for Working Families PAC. Previously, he served in the Reagan administration as Under Secretary of Education and Head of the Office of Policy Development. Gary became president of the Family Research Council, senior vice president of Focus on the Family, and was appointed by President Trump to the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom.

In this week’s episode of Defending Faith, Family and Freedom, Gary Bauer shares the stories of three Christians who recently stood firmly in their faith and paid a heavy price both personally and professionally. Bauer says that these three exemplary individuals came to the same figurative crossroad, serve Caesar—or following the demands of Caesar—or serve Jesus Christ. Bauer warns that it is likely that one day, perhaps soon, many Christians will find themselves in a position at work, school, or even their place of worship, where they will face a choice to either cave to the authoritarian State or lift high the cross of Christ.
Attacks against pregnancy care centers continue across the United States. The wave of attacks began after a draft of the Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade was leaked to the press. Threats of violence against care centers and pro-life churches immediately spiked with Jane's Revenge, a particularly radical pro-abortion group, declaring "open season" on pro-life organizations.
The Biden administration and their allies are doubling down on promoting radical mutilating surgeries and powerful sterilizing chemicals for children suffering from gender dysphoria.
We strongly condemn the misnamed "Reproductive Health Equity Act 2.0," now pending in the Colorado legislature. Colorado has already passed laws making our state one of the most pro-abortion states.
Unfortunately, the Biden administration continues to be obsessed with keeping the number of abortions performed in the U.S. as high as possible. Fortunately, 25 pro-life senators and representatives are fighting back.
In part two, Gary Bauer warns Christians that America is in a season of great peril. He insists that there are powerful forces inside and outside government that see people of faith, particularly Christians, as personae non gratae (persons not welcome). Bauer says these neo-Marxists understand that it is this group of believers who are blocking their plans to transform the United States into an authoritarian, Socialist state, and they want them silenced—by virtually any means necessary.
JDFI does not usually weigh in on the, sometimes, arcane budget battles in Washington, D.C. But we cannot ignore the budget proposal just unveiled by the Biden administration. From economic policy to social policy impacting faith, family and freedom, the budget is a disaster.
Is it conceivable that Christians could be banned from teaching in public schools? Some radical secularists have advocated for it. Now, a school board in Arizona has gone a step further.
In part one of this week’s episode of Defending Faith, Family and Freedom with Gary Bauer, he shares his concerns that government agencies, under the direction of the Biden administration, are targeting Christian organizations and individual Christ-followers, as “domestic terrorists.” Bauer fires off a clear warning to Americans that this governmental trend against religious freedom, such as orthodox Catholics and pro-life students, is anathema to the United States Constitution.
