Raised by communist parents, David Horowitz was once a strong voice for the American Left in the 1960s. But after awakening to the evil it was doing, this Jewish writer went on to embrace American exceptionalism, birthed from Protestant Christianity. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson and his guest, David Horowitz, author of Dark Agenda, continue to discuss the secular culture’s agenda for our sovereign nation and the importance for Christians to remain vigilant. 1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."  Enjoyed this broadcast? Sign up to receive weekly public policy emails from JDFI.

David Horowitz

David Horowitz is an American conservative thinker, author and public speaker. He is the founder of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, an organization focused on defending religious groups from totalitarian attacks, both inside and outside the country. He used to be a strong adherent of the "New Leftist" movement in the 1960s, but disavowed the communist ideology in 1972 for the intellectual consistency of neo-conservatism. He has since written numerous New York Times best-selling books, detailing the lies of liberal doctrine. David earned a bachelor's degree in literature, and a master’s degree in Chinese and English.
