On today’s classic edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson interviews Troy and Kim Meeder. They discuss Kim’s book, Bridge Called Hope, and the origin of their ministry, Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch, bringing hope and healing to all they encounter. Romans 15:13 says, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Meet the Guest(s)

Troy and Kim Meeder

Troy Meeder serves as co-founder and chief executive officer of Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch (CPYR) alongside his wife, Kim. He also travels to similar ministry ranches throughout the nation and abroad to provide consultation, support, instruction, and conflict resolution. In addition, the Lord’s message of hope gives Troy the opportunity to speak to churches, leadership organizations, men’s conferences, and retreats nationwide. He is the author of Average Joe.

Kim Meeder is the co-founder and chief communications officer of Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch (CPYR), located in the foothills of the Cascade mountains near Bend, Oregon. Kim became an orphan at the age of nine as the result of tragic circumstances. Raised by her grandmother, she developed a love for horses and their ability to provide emotional comfort. It was out of her childhood trauma and her path to recovery that the seeds for Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch were planted. Kim and her husband, Troy, started Crystal Peaks in 1995, and they have decades of experience working with abused children and neglected horses.
