Sen. Tom Coburn

The Hon. Tom Coburn served as a U.S. Senator from Oklahoma for 10 years, and served three terms in Congress prior to that. He currently works as a senior advisor to the Convention of States Project. Dr. Coburn graduated with a Bachelors in Accounting from Oklahoma State University, and received his M.D. from the University of Oklahoma Medical School. Before his time on Capitol Hill, Dr. Coburn practiced family medicine and obstetrics. He has been married to his wife Carolyn for over 50 years, and the two have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
