Why Christian Votes Matter

Dr. Rick Scarborough is a seasoned Southern Baptist minister, author, speaker and founder of the non-profit organization,Recover America NOW. He pastored at First Baptist Church, Pearland, TX from 1990 to 2002. Since leaving the pulpit, Dr. Scarborough has encouraged pastors to stand on Biblical truth, and to call on their congregations to vote their values at the polls. Since January 2020, Dr. Scarborough has been tasked with representing the Jonathan Project, as the organizations National Pastor Advisor. In that role, he plans to travel or appear via tele-com and speak to as many pastors as possible in battleground states before Election Day 2020. He holds a B.S. from Houston Baptist University, a Masters in Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate in Ministry from Louisiana Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Scarborough and his wife Tommye have 3 children (one of whom is in Heaven), and 4 grandchildren.
