Trump's Stunning Victory and God's Great Kindness

Trump's Stunning Victory and God's Great Kindness
1:51

It is official: Donald Trump is the 47th president of the United States. The answer to the prayers of many has come. As Ronald Reagan once said, “It’s morning again in America.”

The days of our nation suffering the ravages of another leftist administration are now past. The Democratic platform was essentially everything God hates—championing unlimited abortion, open borders, and “gender-affirming care.” Whether our homeland as we know it would have survived the enactment of that agenda is questionable.

But God appointed a different outcome. Once again, He has shown incredible kindness to us. America is not finished.

Our nation has survived a nightmare. In this fall of 2024, The Land of the Free mirrors Britain in the summer of 1945. The UK won World War II alongside the Allies, but the cost of that war forever marked all who survived. So, too, are we scarred by the events of our country’s last ten years—particularly the recent five.

Lockdowns harmed us, woke voices accused us, and sexual paganism in schools and our culture soiled us. Added to the deviant developments, we lived with the menacing specter of eight more years of leftist rule.

If we are honest, the bundle of evils came with a cost. We struggled to sleep, and we prayed with our spouses as we battled against anxiety, doubt, and discouragement. But those challenges are now past.

In God’s providence, America has been given another chance. We have great cause for thanksgiving, prayer, and faith-fueled action in the days ahead. We must not grow weary in well-doing (Galatians 6:9). We must push on and continue our work for the good of our country and the cause of the gospel.

Take a deep breath, Christian. Much labor is ahead of us, but this is a time to celebrate.

It’s morning again in America!
