On today’s edition of Family Talk, Gary Bauer interviews Kathy Branzell, president of the National Day of Prayer Task Force. She discusses the theme of this year’s National Day of Prayer event, which is based on 2 Samuel 22:29-31, and describes the intimacy of coming to the Lord with all of our needs.

Kathy Branzell

Kathy Branzell is president of the National Day of Prayer Task Force, a position she has held since 2019. Previously, she served as the founder and president of an organization known as Fellowship and Christian Encouragement for Educators (FACE), for which she compiled weekly Scripture passages, prayer prompts and devotionals for educators to use in weekly prayer meetings throughout the school year. Kathy is the author and co-author of five books, including An Invitation to Prayer: Developing a Lifestyle of Intimacy with God, Prayer Warrior: The Battle Plan to Victory, and A Prayer Warrior’s Guide to Spiritual Battle. Kathy earned her bachelor’s degree in education and human development from the University of Georgia, and her master’s degree in biblical studies from Liberty Theological Seminary. She and her husband, Russ, have two children and reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
