Dr. Gary Smalley, Dr. Scott Stanley

Dr. Scott Stanley is a research professor, founder of PREP, and co-director of the Center for Marital and Family Studies at the University of Denver. Along with other colleagues, he has been involved in the research, development, and refinement of the Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP) for over 30 years. Stanley has authored various books including Fighting for Your Marriage, The Power of Commitment, and A Lasting Promise. He is a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary and received his Ph.D. from the University of Denver. Scott is married to Hiong, and they have 7 children. Dr. Gary Smalley was the chairman of the board of the Smalley Institute and the best-selling author of more than 60 books. He was the host of the nationally syndicated radio show, Smalley LIVE!. Gary was a world-renowned marriage and relationship expert, and a sought-after speaker. He regularly appeared on national television and radio programs, and helped thousands of couples through his books, films, and conferences. He and his wife Norma were married 52 years and lived in Branson, MO. Gary passed away in 2016, but his work and legacy live on in his three children and eight grandchildren.
