When couples experience the profound sense of pain and loss from a miscarriage, well-intentioned family members and friends can say hurtful things. But Dr. Walt and Barb Larimore, along with Russ and June Gordon, who have suffered a total of six miscarriages between them, urge those who wish to console others to simply say, "I am so sorry! God cares. And I love you." They share with host Dr. James Dobson that couples should name the lost baby, figuratively bury their child, and allow themselves time to heal.

Barb Larimore has co-authored with her husband, Walt, several books including, His Brain, Her Brain: How Divinely Designed Differences Can Strengthen Your Marriage. Mrs. Larimore has endured the loss of several miscarriages and has been able to use her pain to help women and couples who have also lost their babies.

Russ and June Gordon founded "A Quiet Refuge" ministry out of the pain and loss they suffered through three miscarriages. Their website is BabiesNotForgotten.com. Together, the Gordons created a high quality, illustrated 24-page photo-journal album entitled, Forever in Our Hearts. The album gives couples permission to grieve the loss of a child whose life was so brief. Russ and June believe that all children, even those unborn, are incredibly special to God, and that we should value them just as He does. The Gordons live in Colorado Springs, Colorado, which is also home to their ministry.
