Why have those of us who believe in the sanctity of life lost seven straight state referenda across America since the overturn of Roe v. Wade? The pro-life movement is working overtime to answer that question. If the trend continues in 2024, we could again experience a gigantic disappointment with a pro-abortion president and a pro-abortion majority in the Senate. And, of course, that would mean more innocent pre-born children will die.

Parental Rights Advance in Texas
Texas continues to lead the nation in protecting children from sexually inappropriate books and supporting parental rights. As 2023 drew to a close, the Texas Board of Education voted to require local libraries to treat parents as the "primary decision makers regarding their student's access to library material." They also reminded libraries that state law prohibits libraries from purchasing harmful material.

What Was He Thinking? Ohio’s Governor Stands With Trans Insanity
We are deeply disappointed in Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. He closed out 2023 by vetoing a commonsense bill that would have protected Ohio's children from the toxic transgender ideology. The legislation would have prevented a minor child from being given powerful chemicals to block their normal puberty. The bill also protected women's sports in Ohio by ensuring that only biological girls could participate in female sports competitions. Similar legislation has passed in dozens of states around the country, and polling shows the public agrees with the legislation's goals.

“Public policy” refers in other contexts to politics, such as elections and political parties. That is not what we mean by the term. Our focus is on issues related to righteousness in the culture, such as the sanctity of human life, the God-ordained institution of marriage, parental rights, freedom of religion, and other liberties guaranteed in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. This is an incomplete list but should be illustrative. Of course, we are also opposed to policies that are anti-biblical, such as critical race theory and other efforts to propagandize and manipulate the minds of children. We oppose the entire LGBTQ ideology, as well as adultery, premarital sex, and matters that most conservative Christians view as contrary to Scripture. At the heart of our belief system is a biblical worldview, such as absolute truth and the teachings of Jesus. We are committed to the family as outlined in the Book of Genesis, a view of the family that is under vicious attack from within our culture. We are here to defend the family with every resource. Indeed, defending and promoting these beliefs and the truths in God’s Word are our raison d’etre, our reason to be.
